StayInfo turns your property information into a structured page accessible through a QR code for your guests. These policies cover how subscriptions, billing, and refunds work for property owners and managers — the people paying for StayInfo.

What's included
An active subscription publishes your property's StayInfo page, accessible to guests via QR code, with offline mode and automatic translation into 30+ languages. You can preview a page for free, but publishing requires an active subscription.

Account ownership
Subscriptions are tied to your StayInfo account. You're responsible for keeping your credentials secure and your contact email up to date so renewal and billing notices reach you.

Clear upfront, charged on schedule, renewed automatically.
Accepted payment methods Secure
Major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) and other methods shown at checkout. Payments are processed through encrypted, PCI-compliant gateways — StayInfo does not store full card details.
Automatic renewal Annual
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each term using your saved payment method. You'll receive a renewal notice in advance so you can review or change your plan.
Taxes & VAT
Prices may be shown excluding tax. Applicable VAT or local taxes are calculated based on your billing address and shown before you confirm payment. EU business customers can provide a valid VAT ID where reverse charge applies.
Failed payments
If a renewal payment fails, we'll retry and notify you by email. If payment remains uncollected after a grace period, your published StayInfo page and app may be paused until the account is brought current.
Canceling your subscription
You're in control — cancel anytime, keep access through the paid period.
How to cancel
You can cancel a subscription at any time from your StayInfo account settings. Cancellation stops the next automatic renewal — it does not end your current paid term early.
What happens after cancellation
- Your property page and app remain published and fully functional until the end of the current paid term.
- At the end of the term, the page and app are unpublished and the QR code stops resolving to guest-facing content.
- Your property data is retained in your account so you can republish by resubscribing — see the Data retention section below.
Pausing vs. canceling
If you only need to take a property offline temporarily (seasonal closure, refurbishment), contact support before canceling — we can advise on the best option for your situation.
When refunds apply
Most subscription fees are non-refundable, with a few clear exceptions.
General policy
StayInfo subscription fees are paid in advance for the full term and are generally non-refundable. Canceling mid-term stops future renewals but does not trigger a prorated refund for the unused portion of the current term.
Exceptions where a refund may apply
- Duplicate or accidental charges. Contact support and we'll investigate and refund verified duplicates promptly.
- Sustained service failure. If StayInfo is unable to deliver the core service for an extended period due to issues on our side, contact support to discuss a partial refund or credit.
- Where required by applicable law. Statutory consumer protection rights in your country always apply and are not limited by this policy.
How to request a refund
Email us at stayinfo@stayinfo.com with your account email, the property name, and the reason for the request. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method and typically appear within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.
Before you cancel. If something isn't working as expected — a feature, a translation, a setup issue — reach out first. Most problems are quicker to fix than to refund, and we'd rather solve it than lose you.
Upgrades & downgrades
- You can add or remove properties from your account at any time. New properties begin a fresh subscription term from the activation date.
- Plan changes take effect on the next renewal unless otherwise noted at checkout.
- Any difference in price is settled at the time of the change — charged at checkout for upgrades, credited toward your account where applicable for downgrades.
Your content & service availability
Data retention after cancellation
Your property content remains stored in your account after cancellation so you can resubscribe and republish without rebuilding. If you want your data permanently deleted, request account deletion through support — this action is irreversible.
Service availability
We work to keep StayInfo available around the clock, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance, third-party outages, and force majeure events may cause temporary downtime. StayInfo's offline mode means guests can still access cached property information during many such events.
If something goes wrong
Billing questions
For any billing question or dispute, please contact support before initiating a chargeback. Most issues are resolved within a few business days.
Governing law
These policies are governed by the laws of Iceland. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these terms are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Héraðsdómur Reykjavíkur (Reykjavík District Court), without prejudice to statutory rights you may have in your country of residence.
